Presentation Study in Techniques Using Color

 

 

"White" is a study in pen and ink combined with color stippling for a dramatic effect.

The use of stippling in traditional black was combined with various shades of red color stippling layers to offer a pleasing contrast to this overall pen and ink study.

The color depicted is colored ink, painstakingly etched in one dot at a time. Mechanical pens of various nib sizes along with some professional quality color ink markers were utilzed in this drawing. The effect is three dimensional.

This study in pen and ink techniques was influenced by glamor/erotic photos viewed on the internet and was completed in September 2007.

The work took approximately 20 hours to complete and measures about 8 1/2 x 11 inches on an 11 x 14 background.
